Kids Aktief Viking

Welcome to BSO Viking, part of Kids Aktief B.V. We are located on the grounds of Kanovereniging Viking at Vikingpad 40 in Amsterdam-Noord. With a maximum of 30 places, we offer the most active after-school care in the city. Our qualified staff pick the children up straight from school using our own collection service. We use electric cargo bikes, cars or walk, depending on the school your child attends. On site, children can change in the clubhouse changing rooms and store their belongings in a lice bag. Every afternoon starts with free play, either indoors in the clubhouse or outdoors on the fields and in the nature surrounding the waterways. This is followed by a group moment with fruit and drinks. Then we start the sports and activities scheduled for the day: football, hockey, korfball, dance, games and creative workshops alternate. We work with monthly programmes that parents receive in advance, so you know exactly what is planned. Our supervisors have backgrounds in physical education, sports science, pedagogy and all hold a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG). Safety and positive group dynamics are paramount: we apply the four-eyes principle and work with small groups to guarantee quality. Warm meals are not provided, but healthy snacks and plenty of drinks are included. Children receive a sports clothing package; the only requirement is sturdy footwear. During study days and holidays we are open from 8.30 am to 6.30 pm with an extended programme, making use of the association’s facilities and the spacious outdoor area.
