Kickerhoff

KDV de Kick(erh)off is our daycare center located at Maaswijkweg 104 in Spijkenisse, right across from the SV Spijkenisse football fields. We provide care for up to 80 children aged 0 to 4 years in a warm, safe environment where fun and development go hand in hand. Upon entering, you'll immediately experience our central hall that invites play. From this hall, we have various group spaces: two toddler groups for children aged 0 to 2.5 years, two mixed-age groups for children aged 0 to 4 years, and two preschool groups for children aged 2 to 4 years. We maintain an open-door policy, allowing children to explore other spaces and make new friends outside of fixed group moments. This stimulates social development and gives children the freedom to play where they feel most comfortable. Our outdoor space is specially designed with adventure in mind. We make optimal use of the green and sporty surroundings. We're proud of the 'Green Childcare' quality mark we've achieved. In our nature garden, children learn about nature, help grow vegetables, and can build huts or play in the sandbox. Daily, we organize fun and educational activities tailored to the age and development of the children. For the youngest ones, this means baby gym and sensory play, while toddlers and preschoolers get creative with paint and brushes, bake healthy cupcakes, or search for carrots in the vegetable garden outdoors. Movement activities are an important part of our program. In our central hall, children can climb and balance on stepping stones, while the nearby football field invites them to run freely. Reading aloud is part of our daily routine because we know how important this is for language development. Our pedagogical professionals read daily from books that connect with the children's world of experience. Regularly, we receive visits from Mundo's Activity Team. These professionals each have their own specialization: sports and games, nature, and creative activities. For the children, these visits are always a big party and offer new stimuli and learning experiences. We work according to VVE programs (Pre- and Early School Education) focused on developing language, math, and social skills. We do this in a playful way, always putting the child's enjoyment first. Our experienced pedagogical staff know each child and understand exactly what they need to develop optimally. KDV de Kick(erh)off is easily accessible by public transport. Spijkenisse Centrum metro station and A. van Hattemstraat bus stop (line 84) are both within walking distance. We have an active parent committee that contributes to the development of our childcare and serves as a bridge between parents and our organization.
