Welcome to Kibeo van Halenstraat in Oude-Tonge, where your baby, toddler or preschooler gets to discover the world afresh every day in a safe, familiar setting. Our daycare centre is located on the ground floor of primary school OBS Het Startblok at Van Halenstraat 1, right in the heart of the Goeree-Overflakkee municipality. Thanks to this unique location children literally grow up in an integrated child-centre: they can walk straight from the toddler group into the reception class and already know their future teacher from their very first steps. Everything we do revolves around learning through play. Our baby specialists offer the youngest ones calm, stimulating activities that match what they can already do and give that little bit of extra attention to skills still in development. For toddlers we use Peuterstart: certified activity programmes that encourage language, motor skills and independent thinking in a playful way. We often team up with the reception class for themed celebrations such as King’s Games and make use of their learning materials whenever a toddler needs an extra challenge. Our groups are set up as inviting play corners and we have our own garden where children explore together with the reception class. We deliberately work in a vertical group (0-4 years) so children learn from one another and each can grow at their own pace. Safety comes first: the site has secure entry and all pedagogical staff are certified. Parents can opt for half or full days and we offer flexible daycare days.
