Kibeo Scheldestraat Zierikzee

Kibeo Scheldestraat 9 is a welcoming toddler care centre in the heart of Zierikzee. We are located inside primary school ’t Kofschip, bringing childcare and education together under one roof. This is not only convenient, but also gives children a familiar place where they can grow through play. Our toddler group is designed for children aged 2 to 4. We follow a fixed daily rhythm that offers calm and structure. The morning starts at 8:30 a.m. with a shared moment: we sing, tell stories and explore the Puk themes. Puk is our puppet who goes on adventures with the children. In the theme ‘Giants and Gnomes’, for example, Puk learns about big and small while we count, sing and craft. In this playful way toddlers practise language, numeracy and social skills. In between there is time for free play in our corners: a reading corner with picture books, a construction corner with large blocks and a home corner where ‘coffee’ is served and dolls are cared for. We work in small groups so that every child receives the attention they need. Our pedagogical staff follow the rhythm of home as much as possible and adapt sleeping, eating and playing accordingly. We offer half-day sessions from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. During the fruit moment children discover new tastes and practise eating independently. We take allergies and dietary requirements into account; we are happy to discuss this with parents in a personal conversation. Safety and trust are central.
