Zo op Gummarus KDV

Welcome to Zo op Gummarus KDV, located at Azaleastraat 18 in Steenbergen. We are a daycare centre where children aged 0 to 4 can grow up in a safe, homely environment. Together with parents we decide what is best for their child. Our youngest guests enjoy peace and regularity; toddlers and preschoolers follow the development-oriented Uk & Puk programme. Every six weeks we start a new theme that covers all areas of development. In this way children learn through play and our regular group activities receive an extra boost. Being outdoors is very important to us. We regularly go out: a walk in the park, shopping, visiting the petting zoo or taking a ride in the wagon. In our own garden children climb and clamber on the hill with climbing frame, play in the sandbox with outdoor kitchen, walk barefoot on the sensory path and discover water and sand at the water table. For the very youngest we have two outdoor cribs in the garden. Research shows that children sleep longer and more deeply outside; the fresh air also strengthens the immune system. Of course you decide whether your child sleeps outdoors. From the age of 2.5 children can take part in our Early Childhood Education programme (ECE). Our specialised pedagogical staff tune in to what children are interested in and offer tailor-made activities. In this way we optimally prepare your child for primary school.
