KDV Zilvermeeuw

Welcome to KDV Zilvermeeuw, located at Vogelzwin 23 in the centre of Wieringerwerf. We are a small-scale daycare centre welcoming up to 16 children each day, giving every child the space to grow and play. Our pedagogical team works according to the themed V(V)E programme Uk en Puk, which connects with each child’s world of experience. Every day we sing songs together, read picture books and do arts-and-crafts with a variety of materials. When the weather allows, we go outside; our garden offers plenty of room to run, explore and play with sand and water. The group room is cosily arranged with quiet corners and stimulating toys so that children feel safe and secure. We use horizontal groups: toddlers aged 2-4 are together, allowing them to learn from each other and make friends. Parents can opt for half-day sessions (morning 8.30-12.30) and we operate Monday to Thursday. Children with an early-education indication can attend additional days. KDV Zilvermeeuw is part of Kappio and, together with Jenaplan School De Zilvermeeuw, forms a warm child-centre where childcare and education flow seamlessly together.
