KDV Zaanstraat

Welcome to KDV Zaanstraat, part of Stichting Kinderopvang KiWi in Winschoten. Since 1988, we have been providing children aged 0 to 4 with a safe and trusted environment where fun, safety, trust and development are central. Our location at Zaanstraat 47a is housed in a charming, bright and sunny building with spacious group rooms and quiet bedrooms directly adjacent to the group areas. We work with horizontal age groups, caring for children in age groups of 0-24 months and 24-48 months. This setup allows us to optimally tailor our care and activities to your child's developmental stage. Our pedagogical approach is based on the principles of Emmi Pikler: rest, cleanliness and regularity. We give children space to develop at their own pace and provide them with individual attention. Our experienced pedagogical staff take time for each child and stimulate development through free play, free movement and attentive care. We believe every child is unique and can be themselves. Therefore, we use a child-centered approach where we actively listen to your child's needs and signals. KDV Zaanstraat has a large, varied outdoor area where children can play and explore to their heart's content. In less favorable weather, children can enjoy our cozy indoor sandbox. We believe it's important for children to spend lots of time outdoors and discover nature. Our outdoor space offers plenty of opportunities for natural play and adventure. Additionally, we provide early childhood education (VVE), through which we stimulate your child's development early on and prepare them for primary school. We work closely with parents and believe open communication is essential for your child's well-being.
