KDV Willemijntje

Located on the edge of Wilhelminapark in Tilburg, KDV Willemijntje provides daycare and toddler care for children aged 0 to 4. Our experienced pedagogical professionals make every effort to ensure that babies and toddlers feel at home and secure. We observe and value interaction highly: one-on-one contact as well as contact within the group, in which every child has their own role. Through engaging activities and games we encourage children to discover, play and move. We implement the VVE programme 'Startblokken'. Children learn new things through play and grow at their own pace. We carefully observe what they do and support their natural development. At Willemijntje, learning goes hand in hand with fun and play. Sustainability and nature are central to our green childcare concept. Children sow seeds in our planting boxes and look after the plants. When the vegetables are ready, we harvest, taste and enjoy them together. We also care for our own bantam chickens: feeding, stroking and checking every day whether new eggs have been laid. We cook or bake the eggs and share them at lunchtime. Spending time outdoors is very important to us. We go outside every day, even in a bit of wind and rain. Splashing in puddles, running, jumping and exploring – outside, children’s imagination can flourish. Healthy and responsible nutrition is part of our vision. We provide a varied offering of warm meals, fruit and snacks. Our vertical groups (0-4 years) create a rich learning environment in which the youngest learn from the older children and everyone is challenged at their own level.
