Welcome to Wiedewei Bergen op Zoom, our green daycare centre located at Ooitas 3 in Bergen op Zoom. We provide day care for children aged 0 to 4 in a challenging, natural environment where discovery and growth are central. At Wiedewei we give your child a green start. Our pedagogical staff guide the youngest children in horizontal age groups, with babies and toddlers in separate, calm spaces that match their developmental stage. The baby group is cared for by our baby specialists: professionals who recognise the smallest signals and welcome your child with open arms. The toddler group works with Peuterstart, a certified preschool programme that playfully prepares your toddler for primary school. Together we sing songs that stimulate language development, learn concepts such as big and small, and practise early counting and making friends in a playful way. Our outdoor space is a true play and learning area. All year round we are outside as much as possible: in autumn we splash in puddles, in summer we build sandcastles and roll in the grass. We work with natural materials that stimulate the imagination – a stick becomes a soup spoon, a magic wand or a tickle path for insects. Sustainability is high on our agenda: all our materials are creatively reused and we pay a lot of attention to environmental education at a young age. At lunchtime we serve a healthy, hot meal, prepared with fresh ingredients. We take into account any food allergies and special diets. We also offer half-day care, so you can be flexible with your working hours. At Wiedewei Bergen op Zoom, your child has all the space to develop at his or her own pace. We create a warm, safe environment in which every child can be themselves and where fun in play and learning go hand in hand.
