Welcome to KDV Waldorfhaus De Muijsenbergh, located in the characteristic former primary school building at Dorpsstraat 68 in the heart of Zevenhuizen. As part of the anthroposophical childcare organization Waldorfhaus, we provide care for up to 30 children aged 0 to 4 years at this location, divided into two horizontal groups. At De Muijsenbergh, we work from the Waldorf/Steiner educational approach. This means that each child is approached as a unique individual with attention to their own developmental pace. Our spaces are furnished with natural materials and warm colors that have a calming effect. The daily rhythm follows the rhythm of nature and the seasons, where playing, resting and eating take place in a fixed order. This gives young children the security and structure they need. Our pedagogical staff have a background in anthroposophical childcare and regularly follow internal and external training to deepen their knowledge. They offer activities that match the child's developmental stage, such as free play with simple, natural materials, singing and making music, and artistic activities. We use exclusively organic, vegetarian food that is prepared with care. For the youngest children, we have separate sleeping areas where children can sleep in a quiet environment according to their own sleep rhythm. For toddlers and preschoolers, we also organize activities in our garden, where they can play with sand, water and plants. This natural play environment stimulates their senses and motor development in a playful way. We take ample time for getting acquainted and settling in, because we understand that entrusting your child to our care is a special step. During this period, we get to know your child well and tailor our care to his or her needs. Parents are actively involved in the care and can stay informed of all developments through our parent portal. KDV Waldorfhaus De Muijsenbergh is open daily from 07:00 to 18:30.
