Welcome to KDV Vrij Spel Uddel, located at Essenkamp 35 in the heart of Uddel. We are a day-care centre for children aged 0 to 4, offering a safe and homely environment where every child has the space to develop freely. Our location provides a maximum of 16 places and works with horizontal age groups, ensuring that each developmental stage receives the attention it deserves. At Vrij Spel, trust is our cornerstone. Before a child starts, we invite parents for an introductory meeting that doubles as the child’s first settling-in moment. Together we tour the group, meet our permanent team of qualified pedagogical staff, and discuss individual arrangements. Every child is assigned a dedicated mentor who serves as the primary contact for parents and closely monitors the child’s development. Our rooms are thoughtfully designed to create calm and space. Colours, materials and layout are tailored to the world of young children: soft corners for sleeping, stimulating play areas for discovery, and quiet spots for retreat. We follow a clear pedagogical policy and a safety & health policy; both documents are available on request. KDV Vrij Spel Uddel provides pre-school education (VE). Toddlers who need extra support in language or emotional development receive targeted guidance in collaboration with the local Child & Family Centre (CJG). We also maintain close links with nearby primary schools to ensure a smooth transition from day-care to school. We are open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and offer both full-day and half-day care.
