KDV Voorschool Pippeloentje

Welcome to KDV Voorschool Pippeloentje, part of childcare organisation ’t Veldmuisje Maasdriel B.V. Our small-scale preschool is located inside the Odradaschool Roman-Catholic primary school at Sint Odradastraat 14 in the centre of Alem. With only eight places we offer a familiar, manageable setting in which every child receives the full attention they deserve. We focus entirely on pre-school education for toddlers aged two to four. Learning through play is our guiding principle: we use the Early Childhood Education programme ‘Uk & Puk’, which stimulates language, numeracy, social skills and motor development in a playful way. Each morning starts together in a circle with daily-rhythm cards and child-friendly gestures so the children know what to expect. Afterwards they can enjoy free play with dolls, train tracks, Duplo or get creative with clay, colouring and bead threading. Making music and singing are naturally part of the day. We believe physical activity is just as important as learning. That is why we go outside every day in our safe, green playground. In addition, an SKH sports specialist provides sports and movement lessons one or two times a week based on the ‘Jonge Beweeghelden’ programme, specially designed for toddlers. Lessons take place in small groups so every child has room to discover their talents. Our permanent, qualified pedagogical staff create a warm nest. They know every child and tailor activities to individual development and interests. Parents receive photos and messages through our app, giving you a real-time glimpse into your son or daughter’s experiences. Half-day sessions are available and we work closely with Odradaschool to make the eventual transition to primary school as smooth as possible.
