Voorschool OBS Bente

Welcome to Voorschool OBS Bente, a warm and secure daycare centre run by Kinderopvang Uk & Puk, located inside the premises of Openbare Basisschool De Bente at Westerdiep OZ 96 in Emmer-Compascuum. We provide development-oriented childcare for up to 15 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our team of certified pedagogical staff work from a clear vision: every child is free to be themselves and is given all the space to grow at their own pace. As part of pre-school education (VVE) we cooperate closely with the primary school. This means that toddlers from 2.5 years onwards already playfully work on language, numeracy and social skills that prepare them for primary school. Activities are tailored to the world of experience of young children and tie in with the themes covered at school. In this way we create a continuous developmental line from pre-school to Year 1. Our spacious, bright group room is on the ground floor of the school building and offers direct access to a secure outdoor area. The layout is warm and homely, with different corners where children can play, explore or simply be quiet. We follow fixed daily routines in which play, meals, sleep and outdoor time alternate at a familiar pace. Parents experience our childcare as a second home where their child goes with pleasure.
