KDV Ukkiepuk in de Okkernoot is a small-scale daycare centre located within primary school De Okkernoot at J.A. Nijhoffstraat 1 in Zetten. We provide care for up to 16 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our unit is housed in a dedicated classroom inside the school, which allows us to work closely with the primary school and ensures a smooth transition to the early-years group. Everything we do revolves around creating a warm, safe and homely environment where every child feels at home. The youngest children have separate sleeping areas and we supply all necessary care products, so you can leave your child with complete peace of mind. Play and discovery take place both indoors and outdoors. Our spacious, secure outdoor area – with picnic tables, an outdoor kitchen and a variety of play equipment – invites children to move and engage in imaginative play. We stimulate both gross and fine motor skills through climbing, running, sand and water activities, as well as through crafts, building and puzzles. Language development is supported through reading aloud, singing and conversations, while we playfully work on social and cognitive skills. KDV Ukkiepuk in de Okkernoot follows a clear pedagogical vision in which respect, involvement and room for personal initiative are central. We use horizontal groups, so children of approximately the same age play and develop together. In addition, we offer early childhood education (VVE), preparing children for primary school in a playful way.
