Welcome to Peuteropvang Ukkepuk Buchten, part of MIK & Spelenderwijs Kindontwikkeling. We are located inside primary school Het Avontuur at Ankersweg 52C in Buchten. Because your child already feels at home in the school building, the move to primary school later on becomes much easier. Everything we do is centred on learning through play. We run one horizontal group for children aged 2 to 4. The day always begins with free play, followed by a shared meal, singing, crafts and plenty of outdoor fun. When the weather is poor we simply move to the school’s spacious gym so the toddlers can still run, climb and move around. Each morning we hold a circle-time activity. Together we sing songs, listen to stories and gently practise language and early numeracy skills. In this playful way we prepare your child step by step for the next stage of education. We keep the sessions varied: familiar routines provide security, while new activities keep curiosity alive. Our qualified pedagogical staff guide every child in his or her development. We value close cooperation with parents, which is why we have a parent committee that helps safeguard and improve the quality of our provision.
