Welcome to Twinkel Gouda Peuteropvang Schateiland, located at Mercatorhof 7 in the Bloemendaal/Plaswijck district of Gouda. We provide small-scale toddler care for children aged 2.5 to 4 years. In a safe and homely setting we welcome a maximum of 16 children each morning, ensuring every child receives the attention they deserve. Our toddler care is officially recognised for Early Childhood Education (VVE). Our team consists of VVE-trained pedagogical professionals who use the development-oriented ‘Uk & Puk’ programme. Play and development are central: children learn by doing. Together we set the table, finish a rhyme, count blocks and expand vocabulary while crafting or reading a story. In this playful way we work on language, numeracy and social skills. Toddler mornings run Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. During the morning the children receive a healthy snack and a drink. You decide how many mornings your child attends; flexible care at its best. Our room is arranged with different corners: a construction corner, a home corner, a reading corner and a creative table. We operate in a horizontal group, so all children are of a similar age and can stimulate one another. During school holidays of primary school Het Schateiland our toddler care is closed.
