Welcome to KDV Toermalijn, our warm and homely daycare center located at the quiet Sorbonnelaan 195 in Maastricht. Since 2000, we have been caring for and guiding the very youngest children with great pleasure and dedication. Our daycare accommodates 68 children aged 0 to 4 years and operates under MIK & Spelenderwijs, a trusted organization with over 40 years of experience in childcare. With us, everything revolves around cuddling, reading, singing, playing and being silly – and while doing so, we learn a lot! We believe that children develop best in a safe, familiar environment where they have space to discover and grow. Our pedagogical staff are ready every day with a listening ear, a comforting hug and stimulating activities that connect with the world of young children. Our location features a sheltered garden where children can play and explore outdoors. The groups are horizontally structured, with our youngest children (0-2 years) and toddlers (2-4 years) in separate age groups. This allows us to optimally tailor care and activities to each child's developmental stage. For the youngest ones, we have quiet sleeping rooms with cribs, while toddlers can enjoy a challenging play area with reading and craft corners. We follow the Early Childhood Education program, where we work playfully on language development, social skills and early math and language skills. Our activities range from reading sessions and singing to crafting with various materials and outdoor play in our safe garden. We believe it's important that every child feels seen and valued, and that parents can bring their child to us with peace of mind.
