KDV Talander

Welcome to KDV Talander, our intimate daycare center in the heart of Sittard. We are located in the Waldorf school building of Talander at Burgemeester Schrijenstraat 1. As part of Istia childcare, we provide care for up to 7 children aged 0 to 4 years, with personal attention and small-scale care as our core values. Our childcare is based on the anthroposophical principles of Waldorf education. We believe in the balanced development of head, heart and hands. In our spacious, bright group room, children have all the space to play, discover and grow at their own pace. Artistic activities such as painting, singing and handwork are central to our daily program, where we stimulate the natural imagination and creativity of young children. Our vertical group consists of children of different ages who play and learn together. The youngest children receive the rest and attention they need, while toddlers learn from the older children and can take responsibility themselves. We work with natural materials and have a beautiful outdoor space where children can play daily and discover nature. For the very youngest, we provide bottle feeding according to your child's rhythm. We have separate sleeping areas where children can sleep in peace. Healthy nutrition is important to us; we serve organic snacks and drinks. For children with allergies or special dietary needs, we make appropriate arrangements with parents. Our pedagogical staff are specialized in the anthroposophical approach to young children. They provide warm, personal care and follow the natural rhythm of each child. We communicate openly and transparently with parents about their child's development.
