't Zonnehuis

Welcome to daycare 't Zonnehuis, located in a detached building at Ophoviuslaan 158 in 's-Hertogenbosch East. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years in a safe and homely environment where every child is given space to develop at their own pace. Our pedagogical policy is designed to offer children a warm and stable foundation. We work with horizontal groups, where babies, toddlers and preschoolers are grouped by age. This allows our pedagogical staff to respond specifically to each child's developmental stage. We use the development-oriented approach of the VE method Uk and Puk, where the puppet Puk is a familiar face for the children and challenges them to learn through play. Activities include counting with dice, creative expression with paint and bare feet, and recognizing emotions through Puk stories. The daily routine is calm and predictable. We start with a welcome ritual, followed by guided free play and development-oriented activities. At lunchtime we eat together, taking into account food allergies and dietary requirements. The youngest children are offered a warm meal. After lunch there is rest time and a nap in our separate sleeping areas. The afternoon ends with outdoor play in our spacious garden or a trip to the nearby park. Our location features a separate activity room for the youngest children, a sheltered outdoor play area with natural materials, and a warm interior that invites play and discovery. We believe it's important that children feel safe and secure, giving them space to be themselves and to grow. At 't Zonnehuis, fun and development go hand in hand.
