Welcome to KDV Slochteren ’t Schakeltje, a homely daycare centre located at Slochterveldweg 1C in Slochteren. We provide professional childcare for up to 16 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our daycare is part of Vereniging Kids First, an organisation that has been committed to safe, caring and development-focused childcare in the north of the Netherlands for 25 years. At ’t Schakeltje we work with small, horizontal groups: a baby group for children aged 0 to 2 years and a toddler group for children aged 2 to 4 years. Each group has familiar, consistent staff so your child always feels safe and secure. We believe it is important for children to have the space to develop at their own pace. That is why we offer a varied programme every day, making the most of our spacious garden and the natural surroundings around our building. Playing, exploring and being outdoors are central to our approach. We try to go outside every day so that children can run around, investigate and learn from the world around them. Our pedagogical staff guide the children with warmth, patience and attention, ensuring every child feels seen and valued. KDV ’t Schakeltje is officially registered in the National Childcare Register under number 169703344. We are open 51 weeks a year and offer flexible childcare options, including half-days.
