KDV 't Holthuisje

Welcome to KDV ’t Holthuisje, located at Toldijkseweg 39 in Steenderen. Our daycare is situated in the characteristic rear house of Holthuizen dairy farm, where children from 10 weeks to 4 years have all the space they need to grow in a safe, rural environment. We provide small-scale care in three groups, with our pedagogical staff working fixed days with fixed groups. This familiar contact contributes to your child's sense of security. Our location features a large, natural playground largely equipped with natural materials, where children can play outside to their heart's content every day. On the safely enclosed grounds, chickens and rabbits live in their hutches, and in the adjacent pastures goats and sheep graze. Under the guidance of our staff, children feed and care for these animals daily. They also join us in the stables to help and play with natural materials. Additionally, there's a vegetable garden where children grow and pick strawberries and sunflowers each year. This way they experience how fruits, vegetables and flowers grow while playfully learning about farm life. We have great respect for nature and animals, always safely supervised by our dedicated team of enthusiastic, professional caregivers. We provide diapers and meals including fruit, drinks, a bread meal at midday and healthy snacks. Baby (bottle) food, vegetables and any special dietary requirements due to allergies should be brought by parents. Our opening hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
