Welcome to stichting Heel-Wijs Health & Education, located at Kempweg 162 in Venray. We are a daycare center (KDV) for children aged 0 to 4, offering a safe, natural, and inspiring environment. At Heel-Wijs, we believe in holistic development: we connect education, health, and nature to support children in growing to their full potential. Our approach is unique. We offer an international program where English is introduced from an early age, with a gentle transition from Dutch. Our pedagogical vision allows each child to develop at their own pace, guided by their individual talents and needs. Our qualified staff work in small groups to ensure every child receives the attention they deserve. Health is central to our philosophy. We serve a daily communal meal prepared with ingredients from our own vegetable garden. Children are involved in the entire process—from seed to plate—learning about healthy eating and sustainability. We also integrate mindfulness and relaxation into the daily routine, helping children become aware of their bodies and emotions from a young age. Outdoor learning is just as important as indoor activities. Our garden is an extension of the group space, where children can freely explore, play, and learn in nature. We work closely with parents and involve the whole family in our approach. When there are questions or concerns about a child’s development, we offer support from our care expertise. Together, we create an environment where children feel safe, seen, and valued.
