Welcome to Christelijke Peuteropvang De Flierefluiter, Merwedestraat location – a warm, safe home-from-home for toddlers aged 2 to 4 in Hardinxveld-Giessendam. Our daycare is tucked behind the “De Bron” church building and has its own entrance, so you and your child can step inside quickly and safely. Inside, the playroom is cosily arranged with age-appropriate developmental materials and inviting play corners that encourage exploration, play and growth. Outside, children enjoy a fully enclosed private playground where they can run, climb and romp in the fresh air. Our work is rooted in a clear Christian identity: loving care, personal attention and respect for every child are at the heart of everything we do. Our recognised Early Childhood Education (VVE) programme dovetails perfectly with toddlers’ world of experience and stimulates language, numeracy, social and motor development in a playful way. Our pedagogical staff guide the children in small, same-age groups, giving every child space to develop at his or her own pace. During morning or afternoon sessions the toddlers receive a healthy snack of fruit and a drink. We devote plenty of time to creative activities such as arts and crafts, stimulating imagination and fine motor skills. Outdoor play is also a fixed part of our daily rhythm: the children discover the seasons, learn to play together and explore natural materials in our garden. The Merwedestraat location is open Monday to Friday (except Wednesday afternoon) and offers both half-day and full-day care. Thanks to our small scale (maximum 16 children per day) we create a homely atmosphere in which your toddler quickly feels at home. Together with you as parents we form a trusted team around your child.
