Welcome to KDV Sterre, the daycare centre located at Oude Kerkstraat 12 in Maastricht. Operating under Stichting MIK & Spelenderwijs Kindontwikkeling, we have been providing professional care for up to 48 children aged 0 to 4 since 13 October 2000. Housed in a characteristic former primary school in the Heer district, we offer a safe and familiar place where play, learning and relaxation are perfectly balanced. Your child’s wellbeing is our top priority. Our certified pedagogical staff guide every developmental step with personal attention. We follow fixed daily rhythms and keep groups small, ensuring each child receives the individual care they deserve. Indoors and outdoors there is plenty of room to explore; the garden and play areas invite adventure and natural curiosity. Learning through play and having fun are the guiding principles of our approach. KDV Sterre is officially recognised for early childhood education (VE). This means we align our activities with the latest developments in the VE programme, paying extra attention to language and speech development so that children start school with a solid foundation. We also offer half-day care options, giving parents the flexibility they need to balance work and family life. Our centre is registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK 201953493), allowing parents to apply for childcare allowance. We meet all national quality standards and are supervised by GGD Zuid-Limburg.
