KDV Spoorzone

Welcome to KDV Spoorzone, our daycare centre on Gasthuisring in the vibrant Spoorzone district of Tilburg. We offer a safe and loving place for your precious little one, right in the city yet filled with calm and harmony. Thanks to our central location—just a stone’s throw from Tilburg station—we are easy to reach for parents who live or work in and around the city centre. Everything we do revolves around familiarity and security. Our pedagogical professionals work with joy in fixed groups, so your child sees the same friendly faces every day. We all know each other at our location; the groups do many things together and everyone feels at home. We use both horizontal and vertical group structures: two baby groups (0–2.5 years), one toddler group (2–4 years) and two mixed-age groups (0–4 years). This allows same-age peers as well as siblings to play and grow together. Our spacious, homely premises offer endless possibilities. Indoors, children can climb, scramble and slide. In our home corner the table is already set for breakfast together, while the sensory rice table stimulates the sense of touch. Babies play with soft, light materials in a safe spot, and anyone who wants can curl up with us in the cushion corner for a story. We value self-reliance. After eating, the children wipe their own faces with a cloth and throw it in the bin. We help them put on their coat and encourage them to try it themselves. In this way they grow into independent, confident toddlers. The city is our playground. With the station around the corner, themes like “I’m taking the bus” come to life: waving to the driver is part of the fun! In summer we splash in the fountains of Spoorpark and play in the playground at “Ons Plekske”. We also work together with our neighbours at care centre Zwijsen. Once a month a reading grandma visits, and we cook, taste and play together in their garden. The smiles on both young and old faces make these encounters unforgettable. Healthy food and plenty of fresh air are a given. Every day we prepare a healthy snack with the children and move around during games in our natural garden. Rain, sun or wind—we are outside, experiencing nature even in the middle of the city. In short, at KDV Spoorzone we combine the best of both worlds: a soothing, homely environment and the endless possibilities of the city.
