KDV Speleon

Welcome to KDV de Troubadour, part of Kindcentrum Het Speleon in the Bitswijk district of Uden. We are a vertical daycare group where children aged 0 to 4 play, discover and grow up together. Our motto is: "At Het Speleon you grow up through PLAY, LEARN who you are and DISCOVER your talents together." Our pedagogical staff provide a safe and stimulating environment in which every child has the space to develop at his or her own pace. We work according to Kanteel's pedagogical policy, which puts the child's development first. We offer development-oriented activities that match the world of experience of young children. Think of language activities, expressive forms such as drawing and crafts, and movement activities in our spacious garden with grass, sandbox and climbing equipment. There is even a separate baby corner so that even the very youngest can develop safely. We use a vertical group structure, with babies, toddlers and preschoolers together in one group. This stimulates social development and gives older children the opportunity to help and learn from younger children. We work with pre-school education (VVE) to prepare children for primary school in a playful way. We pay attention to language development, numeracy and spatial awareness, motor development and social-emotional skills. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 7.30 am to 6.00 pm. Early care from 7.00 am and extended care until 6.30 pm is possible, optionally with a hot meal. We offer flexible childcare options, including half days. We provide healthy and fresh meals, fresh fruit and drinks. We take allergies and dietary requirements into account. We change the children and use our own diapers and wipes. For babies we offer bottle feeding and bottles. We have separate bedrooms where children can rest and sleep. We value parental involvement. We work with a mentor who closely monitors your child's development and discusses this with you during 10-minute conversations. We regularly organize parent evenings and parent committee meetings. We work together with the primary school and the BSO within Kindcentrum Het Speleon to ensure a continuous developmental line.
