At SKSG Vlinderwei, children feel right at home! Our daycare center is centrally located in Meerstad, at the roundabout at the entrance to the neighborhood. We provide full-day childcare for children aged 0-4 in a safe and familiar environment. Every child has the space to develop naturally through play. We started on January 27, 2025 with two groups: Lavender (0-2 years) and Sunflower (2-4 years). Additionally, we have Rosemary (0-2 years) and Butterfly Bush (2-4 years) in development. Each baby is assigned two fixed pedagogical staff members, allowing them to quickly feel at ease. This creates a homely atmosphere where your child can safely develop. Our activity program is extensive and varied, with special attention to culture, nature, and movement. We work with themes to which we link educational activities. Children are introduced to singing, reading aloud, movement, and playing with various materials. Nature and natural play are central to our approach. We believe that children learn and grow through play towards the best they can be: themselves! We maintain a fixed daily rhythm consisting of alternating active and quiet moments. This provides children with regularity and a sense of security. For babies up to about 1 year old, we fully adapt to the home routine. There is always space and time for mothers to come and breastfeed, or to provide expressed breast milk in a bottle. Our location is open from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM. We work according to the legally established caregiver-child ratio and provide warm, professional care where every child receives personal attention.
