SKSG Bernewille

SKSG Bernewille is a preschool playgroup located in the Multifunctional Centre (MFC) de Veste at Verbindingsweg 7 in Opende. We provide care for up to 16 toddlers aged 2 to 4 years. Our spacious, bright group room is equipped with various play corners and an outdoor play area with diverse play equipment. Occasionally, we also use the adjacent space in the MFC for extra activities such as gymnastics. We work with qualified, permanent pedagogical staff who ensure a safe and familiar environment. Each child is assigned a fixed mentor who monitors the child's development and discusses it with parents. We use the VVE programme Piramide, which allows us to address all areas of development in a playful manner. Our vision is that children should feel welcome and be given the space to develop themselves. We are open to the needs of each child and try to empathise with their world. Our daily routine provides structure and tranquillity. We start with a drop-in period, followed by a circle in which we sing songs and discuss the daily routine. Then there is time for free play with VVE activities. We alternate quiet and active moments, such as outdoor play or gymnastics. The morning ends with a communal bread meal. Parents can stay informed about their child's experiences through our parent portal. We ask parents to provide varied sliced fruit and to take any allergies into account. Together we ensure a healthy and stimulating environment in which toddlers can grow and flourish.
