KDV Sinne Valkstraat

Welcome to KDV Sinne Valkstraat, a small-scale daycare centre tucked away in the quiet Transvaal neighbourhood of Leeuwarden. We are one of Sinne’s four stand-alone ‘solo locations’, dedicated entirely to children from 0 to 4 years old. Our setting at Valkstraat 34 feels like a second home: three cosy groups, a spacious green garden and a separate playroom where children can explore, play and grow at their own pace. Parents can choose the group that best matches their child’s needs. Our baby group (0-2 years) offers calm, predictable routines and plenty of one-to-one attention. Staff on this group have completed a course in baby sign language, enabling early communication and supporting language development from the very start. The toddler group (2-4 years) provides age-focused activities, themes and games that spark curiosity and stimulate development. For families who prefer siblings to stay together, we run a vertical 0-4 group where children of different ages learn from each other and share adventures every day. We believe every child is unique and that a safe, familiar environment is the key to confident exploration. Small groups and consistent caregivers create emotional security. Our educators are not only caring and committed, but also specially trained: they have followed the course ‘Toddlers with developmental advancement’, enabling them to challenge and guide every child individually. Daily, we use our large outdoor area where children climb natural structures, balance on beams, play with water and sand and hide in tipis. Indoors, Pikler triangles, cosy reading corners and creative materials invite endless play. Parents stay connected through the Sinne app, receiving photos, short reports and messages. We offer full-day and half-day care, flexible contracts and are happy to accommodate specific wishes around sleeping, meals or allergies.
