KDV Siddeburen

KDV Siddeburen is part of Kindcentrum Siddeburen in the municipality of Midden-Groningen. Since May 2022 we welcome children from 10 weeks up to 4 years in a brand-new, modern building that we share with primary schools CBS de Zonnewijzer and OBS de Springplank, playgroup Olleke Bolleke and our own after-school care. This creates a seamless pathway from baby to primary school age on one central site. We believe children learn by playing together. In our horizontal groups, babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers each receive the space and attention that suits their developmental stage. The location is fully equipped for the very youngest: safe cots, child-friendly toilets and toys tailored to each child’s developmental phase. Daily activities such as reading aloud, singing, building or playing outside form the core of our programme. We use the recognised Early Childhood Education programme (VE) so that every child is playfully prepared for the next step to school. Our garden is a true discovery zone: a sandpit, slide, swing and plenty of room to run and hide. We spend as much time outdoors as possible, because fresh air makes children alert, strong and happy. Thanks to our cooperation with the primary schools, we can regularly use the gym hall—an extra challenge for the older toddlers to practise their gross motor skills. Our generous opening hours from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. offer flexibility for working or studying parents. We provide loving attention and a sense of security so that every child feels safe and can explore the world at their own pace.
