KDV Schalmei

Welcome to KDV Schalmei, our daycare centre located at Smidspad 76b in Tilburg. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years, inspired by anthroposophy. At our centre, children are given the space to develop naturally. We use natural materials and simple shapes in our play resources, allowing children to use their own imagination. Our homely interior radiates calm and warmth, contributing to a secure atmosphere. We believe that a child who is given space to play will develop naturally. At Schalmei, babies can sleep safely outdoors in special outdoor cribs. They are protected from insects, precipitation, wind and sun, yet can still enjoy the sounds of nature. We believe it is important for children to stay connected with nature. For meals, we consciously choose organic and whole grain products. We serve water, tea or plant-based milk with fresh fruit or home-baked bread. This way, children learn to appreciate healthy food from an early age. Our location is small-scale: we accommodate a maximum of 16 children. We are open Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM. KDV Schalmei is officially registered in the National Childcare Register and offers pre-school education (VE).
