Welcome to KDV Royal Kids Home Het Baken, located at Maria Danneels erf 16 in the Schollevaar district of Capelle aan den IJssel. As part of Royal Kids Home Capelle and Krimpen aan den IJssel B.V., we provide small-scale, Christian childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years. Our location offers 16 places and is officially registered in the National Childcare Register under number 163572628. We operate two horizontal age groups: the baby group ‘De Boerderij’ for children aged 0-2 and the toddler group ‘De Weide’ for children aged 2-4. Transitions between groups are handled flexibly and always in consultation with the individual child. Our qualified staff deliver loving care and guide each child in his or her own developmental process within a safe and familiar environment. Themes form the common thread in our daily activities. For the toddler group we use the Early Childhood Education (ECE) method Uk & Puk, which stimulates all developmental areas and playfully expands the child’s world. Activities are tailored to each child’s age and stage of development, offering plenty of room for creativity, language and discovery. We work as much as possible with natural materials and pay great attention to healthy food and outdoor play. Because we believe a child needs time to settle in, we always start with a gentle settling-in period in consultation with parents. Emotional safety and a relationship of trust are central to this process. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 19:00 and half-day care is available.
