KDV Rotonda

KDV Rotonda is a warm, small-scale daycare centre in Tiel for up to 16 children aged 0–4. Located inside De Rotonda primary school at Hondsroos 2, we offer a familiar, secure setting within a school environment. Our single mixed-age group lets children of all ages learn from one another and grow together in a close-knit community. The day begins in our 38 m² group room, furnished with a large table, movable bench and high chairs. Children can freely choose from bins of wooden blocks, Duplo and cars, while the youngest play safely in a low floor box. A separate 18 m² playroom houses a wooden kitchen, dress-up clothes and a wooden climbing frame with slide for imaginative play. The hallway doubles as an extra reading corner or themed activity space. For rest and sleep we provide two quiet bedrooms with ventilation and air-conditioning. Babies under eighteen months sleep in cots; older children use stretchers in the group room. Our fully enclosed 66 m² outdoor area, adjacent to the building, offers ride-on cars, scooters, a sandpit and a small slide. Outdoor play is essential for motor development and nature experience. Our pedagogical policy focuses on stability and personal attention: every child is assigned a permanent mentor who discusses development with parents twice a year. We work with fixed core groups and consistent staff so children feel safe and secure. Safety and health are paramount; our policy plan details how we handle emergencies and hygiene. KDV Rotonda is part of Kinderopvang KaKa, a nationwide organisation providing customer-oriented and flexible childcare.
