Robbedoes

Welcome to Robbedoes, our Christian daycare center located at Vondellaan 26 in Harderwijk. We provide care for up to 32 children aged 2 to 4 years in a safe and familiar environment. Our daycare is officially registered and supervised by the GGD North and East Gelderland. At Robbedoes, we work from a Christian perspective. We read Bible stories and pay attention to Christian values in our interactions with each other. Our pedagogical staff have short conversations with the children where both contribute to the progress and content of the conversation. We sit with the children in the group and take turns sitting with different children to engage in conversation. We offer Pre- and Early School Education (VVE), which means we provide children with extensive language development. We work with Uk and Puk themes that are close to the toddler's world of experience. With these themes, we sing songs and read picture books. The corners in our hall are adapted to the theme, so that all words related to the theme are addressed in a playful way. A morning at Robbedoes looks like this: between 8:30 and 8:45 AM children are brought in and parents are welcome to play along for a while. From 8:30 to 9:30 AM there is free play where children can choose what they want to play with. This can be developmental materials on the tables or in one of the corners such as the car corner, home corner or reading corner. From 9:30 to 9:45 AM the children sit in small circles with a pedagogical employee. In this circle, the current theme is extensively discussed and the children drink water. Afterwards, there is focused play with developmental materials such as clay, hammering, mosaics and stringing beads.
