PSG Dalton Jan Ligthart

PSG Dalton Jan Ligthart is located on the Dalton Kindcentrum Jan Ligthart at Leeuwerikstraat 1 in Zutphen. We are part of Stichting Archipel and, as the only Dalton centre in Zutphen and surroundings, provide care based on the Dalton method for children from 2 years upwards. Our playgroup (PSG) is guided by the Dalton core values of freedom, independence, cooperation, responsibility and reflection. Children are given every opportunity to make their own choices while our pedagogical staff guide the process from a distance. The group room is furnished in a homely, cosy style with low, open cupboards so that toddlers can take out and put away toys themselves. There are separate corners such as a home corner and a construction corner with age-appropriate materials like beads and puzzles. Our spacious, safe outdoor area invites exploration and movement; it has recently been renovated so that toddlers and preschoolers can play together even better. We use the Uk & Puk programme for early childhood education and track each child’s development through a digital monitoring system. Parents use the Archipel Parent app for news, photos and direct contact. We offer both half-day and full-day care and provide a healthy bread meal with fruit and drinks. In case of food allergies, we adjust the menu in consultation with parents. Our GGD-approved location meets all safety and hygiene requirements; an annual inspection takes place and the report is publicly available.
