Welcome to POV Kinderwoud De Hagekrobben, our trusted daycare center located at It Grien 30 in the heart of Houtigehage. As part of Kinderwoud, the Frisian childcare organization with over 75 locations throughout Friesland, we provide care at this specific location for up to 16 children aged 0 to 4 years. At De Hagekrobben, we work from our three core values: Security, Individuality, and Self-development. Our qualified pedagogical staff create a warm, homely atmosphere where every child feels safe and secure. We pay attention to each child's unique personality and tailor our guidance to individual developmental stages. Our spacious group room is clearly arranged into five different play and activity corners, specially designed for the youngest children. We work with horizontal groups, keeping babies and toddlers separate from preschoolers. This allows us to optimally meet the specific needs of each age phase. Outside, we have a secure, enclosed garden with play equipment specifically tailored to young children's motor development. We devote much attention to outdoor play and nature experiences, as being outdoors is healthy and stimulates development in various areas. Our activity program focuses on learning through play and development. We sing songs daily, create crafts, and read from our extensive book collection. The youngest children receive plenty of movement space and sensory development stimulation. Preschoolers work playfully on language development and get acquainted with numbers and shapes. For the care of our children, we provide everything: diapers, wipes, formula feeding, and care products are included with us. We serve healthy snacks and lunch, taking into account any allergies or dietary requirements. VVE programs are structurally part of our offering, providing early childhood education. Parents are involved through our parent app, where you receive daily updates on how your child played, ate, and slept. We value parent involvement and regularly organize parent meetings.
