SKSG Poolster

Welcome to SKSG Poolster, our daycare center located in the heart of the Grunobuurt district in Groningen. Housed in a former school building at Huygensstraat 2, we provide daily care for up to 56 children aged 0 to 4 years. Despite the size of our location, we maintain a cozy and homely atmosphere, thanks to our layout in small playful units. At SKSG Poolster, we believe that children develop through play and discovery. We therefore provide ample space for development in a safe and familiar environment. Our childcare staff are lovingly and attentively available for your child. We work with horizontal groups, where babies and toddlers are cared for in separate age groups. Our fantastic garden is a true playground where children can play to their heart's content. For the little ones we have outdoor suits, and for the older children beautiful boots, so we can play outside even in less beautiful weather. The very youngest can even sleep outside in our special sleeping houses. We believe in the motto: "Bad weather doesn't exist! Bad clothing does." We work with theme-based activities that connect with the world of experience of young children. Our activities vary from crafts and sports to nature experiences and healthy cooking. For toddlers we offer the Nijntje Movement Diploma, through which they develop their motor skills in a playful way. Additionally, we work with the VVE method Startblokken, an activity program that stimulates your child's development. Our daycare center has been officially registered since January 1, 2010 in the National Childcare Register under number 138914801. We provide preschool education (VE) and attach great importance to equal opportunities for all children. Together with parents, we ensure that every child receives the very best care and development opportunities in a safe and familiar environment.
