Welcome to PIT christelijk kindcentrum Het Akkoord, located at Hoendersekade 2 in Zwijndrecht. We provide daycare (KDV) for children aged 0 to 4 in a caring, Christian setting where every child is seen, heard and known. Our team of pedagogical professionals works from one single mission: giving children the right to develop through play, playful learning, learning and learning through play. Everything revolves around the very youngest. We use horizontal groups, so babies, toddlers and preschoolers are placed with peers while still receiving room to grow at their own level. Babies sleep in quiet bedrooms with cribs and blackout curtains; toddlers and preschoolers have separate corners for play and rest. We change and feed according to the home routine: diapers and wipes are included, bottle feeding is provided on parental request, and meals take allergies or dietary needs such as vegetarian or lactose-free into account. Our activities are tailored to the world of young children. We sing songs from the ‘Kind op Maandag’ method and other Christian songbooks to stimulate language development. Finger painting, sand and water play are central in the creative corner, and there is plenty of room for outdoor play in our secure garden with natural play equipment. We regularly make short trips to the park or petting zoo, always in small groups and with sufficient supervision. Early childhood education (VVE) is standard: we work thematically and follow PIT’s developmental line so every child can transition smoothly to primary school. Parents stay informed through our app with updates on naps, meals and photos of the day. We value personal contact just as much: at drop-off and pick-up we take a moment to chat about how things are going. Together we build a trusted place where your child takes his or her first steps outside the home with joy.
