PeuterSpeelPaleis Eigenwijs is a small-scale daycare centre located in the heart of Landgraaf. We are situated at Hofstraat 5 and welcome up to 16 children. We are part of the Eigenwijs organisation, which has many years of experience in providing warm, secure childcare for the very youngest. Everything we do revolves around the toddler years. We focus specifically on children aged 2 to 4 and therefore work exclusively with horizontal groups. This means children of the same age play and learn together, ensuring activities are perfectly tailored to their stage of development. Our permanent staff know every child inside and out, providing the continuity toddlers need. Music plays an important role in our daily programme. We sing, dance and make music together, with enjoyment and discovery at the heart of everything. We often start the day with a short children’s yoga session. Through play, the children learn to understand their bodies, work on balance and discover what relaxation feels like. These moments of movement and calm are alternated with arts and crafts, drawing and building. Everything the children create is carefully kept in their personal growth file – a folder full of memories, drawings and photos which parents receive when their child starts school. We believe it is important that children can develop at their own pace. That is why we provide toys and activities that fit exactly with their world of experience and prepare them for primary school. Our spaces are furnished like a home, creating an inviting atmosphere where every child quickly feels at ease. Parents receive a personal handover every day when they collect their child. This keeps everyone informed about development and the day’s experiences. We are here for you from Monday to Friday, so you can work with peace of mind while your child is safe and happy with us.
