Welcome to Ukkepukkeplak, our warm toddler daycare in the heart of Wergea. We are a small-scale location of Association Kids First where a maximum of 15 children aged 2 to 4 years find a second home. In our characteristic building at Nieuwe Weg 2, we work with loving attention on your child's development. Our pedagogical staff follow a clear pedagogical work plan with four core objectives: personal competencies, social-emotional safety, social skills, and norms & values. We believe that play is the most important way of learning for toddlers. Therefore, we offer daily activities such as crafts, reading, singing and games that connect with your child's world of experience. We work with horizontal group structure where children of similar age play and learn together. Our spacious garden offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor play and nature experience. When weather permits, we regularly make trips to the playground or forest in the area. Swimming is also part of our activities, where we safely and playfully get used to water. As a VVE location (Pre- and Early School Education), we offer extra language stimulation and development activities that prepare your child well for primary school. We pay attention to both Dutch and Frisian, developing your child's language skills in a playful way. Your child can come to us for half or full days of care. We work with familiar faces and a close team of pedagogical staff who are ready for your child every day with passion and pleasure. Together with you as a parent, we form a close team around your toddler's development.
