KDV Mirakels (Peuteropvang en KDV)

Welcome to daycare centre Mirakels, located in the Community School at Dussenstraat 42 in Hoofddorp. We provide care for up to 132 children aged 0 to 4 years, divided into six groups: two baby groups (0–2 years), two vertical groups (0–4 years) and two toddler groups (2–4 years). Our aim is to stimulate every child’s development through play. Each day we explore educational themes through fun activities. For babies the focus is on sensory-motor development, while toddlers follow the recognised Piramide programme, which supports language, social, emotional and motor skills. Once a week a sports coach visits to run sport and play sessions for children aged 1½ to 4 years using the Jonge Beweeghelden method. This encourages motor development in a playful way. After a busy morning of discovery and movement we serve a fresh, warm lunch delivered daily. Meals are available in vegetarian, fish and meat options and can be adapted for allergies. For the youngest children we offer puréed meals made with fresh vegetables. Our location has its own outdoor playground adjoining all groups, providing safe space to play outside with separate areas for younger and older children. We value reading highly and have two reading coordinators who keep our book collection up to date in partnership with Haarlemmermeer Library. Children aged 3½ who are ready can spend one morning a week in the toddler/reception class of our partner primary schools, making the transition to primary education as smooth as possible. In short, at Mirakels children find a safe, warm place where they can develop through discovery, play and learning. We look at what each child needs and tailor our activities accordingly.
