Peuteropvang Emma is located in the heart of Leerdam, in the characteristic Emmahuis at Raadsliedenstraat 120. We are a dedicated toddler care centre for children aged 2 to 4, operating under Dichtbij Kinderopvang. Next door, a day-care centre for seniors creates a unique place where young and old meet. Pre-school education (VE) is at the core of our programme. We use the nationally recognised ‘Piramide’ method to stimulate your child’s broad development through play. Themes connect to toddlers’ daily experiences and rhythms, allowing language, numeracy, motor skills and social abilities to grow naturally. Children with a VE-indication receive extra guidance through Peuterplus or Opstapje, always in close consultation with parents. Our experienced pedagogical professionals work in small, same-age groups, ensuring every child receives the calm and attention they deserve. We are open from 08:30 to 12:30; some afternoons are available on request. During school holidays we close, so children already experience the rhythm of primary school. A special feature of our concept are the inter-generational activities with the neighbouring care home. Singing, crafting or reading together strengthens toddlers’ social development and brings joy to all generations. We welcome your child with open arms and provide a warm, safe second home.
