Peuteropvang De Speelhut

Peuteropvang De Speelhut is located right next to OBS De Blauwe Morgenster primary school and the public library in the heart of Middenbeemster. Up to 16 children aged 2–4 are welcome every morning from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in our bright, spacious room. We run horizontal age groups so every activity is tailored to the developmental stage and interests of your toddler. Our VVE-trained pedagogical staff plan themed activities using the Uk en Puk early-education programme. Through play we foster social, cognitive, physical and emotional growth. Daily practice in sharing and playing together prepares the older children for primary school. When the time comes, we complete a toddler transfer form together with parents and the new school to ensure a smooth transition. Inside, children can explore different play corners filled with inviting materials. Outside, we use the school playground with its large sandpit, playhouse and age-appropriate climbing equipment. Twice a week we put on our gym shoes for a fun gym lesson in the school’s gym hall. Regular outings to the library, the village or the surrounding Beemster landscape are part of the programme. We celebrate early reading through BoekStart and hold annual parent meetings to discuss each child’s development and well-being. Registration is possible from age 1; placement starts at age 2 (or 2.5 for VVE children). The centre is closed during school holidays and on official public holidays.
