Peuteropvang De Dagvlinders

Welcome to Peuteropvang De Dagvlinders, located at Curieplaats 20 in Rotterdam. We are part of gro-up childcare and provide professional toddler care for children aged 2 to 4 years. Our mission is to create a joyful and safe environment where toddlers can play, explore and grow. Our location consists of two horizontal groups, with a maximum of 16 toddlers per session. We work with fixed session combinations, so children join a familiar group and experience consistency and structure. Our qualified pedagogical staff Kitty, Samantha and Mina are ready every day to guide the children with enthusiasm and professionalism. We offer development-oriented activities using the Pre-school Education (VE) program Uk en Puk. This program stimulates children's language, numeracy and social-emotional development. Our activities are themed to match the toddlers' world of experience. Think of fun games, outdoor play, messy painting, singing, reading aloud and discovering nature. A typical morning starts with a welcome moment, followed by free play, a circle activity with singing and storytelling, and then outdoor play or a creative activity. We use a fixed daily rhythm supported by picture cards, so children know what to expect and feel secure. Parents provide fruit, a diaper and wipes. We supply drinks and guide the children during meals and diaper changes. We promote healthy eating and accommodate dietary needs when possible. We regularly organise outings, such as visits to the petting farm or forest. During these excursions, a parent or caregiver must accompany the child. We value cooperation with parents. There is time for handovers at drop-off and pick-up, we hold parent meetings and have an active parent committee. We also collaborate with primary school Prins Alexander to ensure a smooth transition to primary education.
