Kindcentrum De Reflector

Peuteropvang De Astronautjes is part of Kindcentrum De Komeet and is located within De Reflector primary school at Keerkring 49 in Heerhugowaard. We provide care for toddlers aged 2 to 4 years in two fixed groups: Astronautjes 1 and Astronautjes 2. Each group accommodates up to 14 children. Our toddler care is open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. We work from a clear vision: children are given the space to develop themselves in a homely and safe environment. We use fixed rituals and a recognizable structure so that children quickly feel at home. Our pedagogical staff approach children and parents positively, encourage independence and offer plenty of room for language and interaction. We talk a lot with the children, explain things and listen to what they have to say. At De Astronautjes we work thematically. Each theme starts with an information letter for parents and ends with a final presentation to which parents are invited. We also invite new parents to join us for a morning. We value parental involvement and offer the opportunity to borrow books to read together at home. We use the nationally recognized VVE program (Early Childhood Education) and use the KIJK method to track each child's development. Children with a VVE indication receive extra guidance. Our location is safely and child-friendly furnished. We have our own outdoor playground and work closely with De Reflector primary school, ensuring a smooth transition between toddler care and primary education. Communication with parents takes place via the parent portal Konnect, where we share photos and messages and parents can also post messages themselves.
