Peuteropvang Teun

Peuteropvang Teun is located at Teun de Jagerdreef 1C in Utrecht and is part of Kind&co ludens, the largest non-profit childcare organisation in the Netherlands. Our focus is simple: “you become wise through play”. We provide toddler care with pre-school education (VE) for children aged 2 to 4. Our two horizontal groups – Verrekijkers and Ontdekkers – operate every morning from 08:15 to 13:50. Verrekijkers is open five mornings a week and offers a bright, spacious room with inviting play corners and a private outdoor area. Ontdekkers runs three mornings a week and shares a flexible room with BSO Teun, allowing us to adapt the space to the age and needs of the children. Play-based learning is at the heart of everything we do. We boost Dutch language skills through singing, reading aloud, drawing and language games. Our experienced pedagogical staff closely follow each child’s development and tailor activities to ensure every child is ready for a confident start at primary school. Nature is our favourite classroom: children harvest vegetables and fruit in our own garden, feed chickens and collect fresh eggs. These experiences teach them not only about plants and animals, but also about cooperation, sharing and respect for living things. Parents are our partners, not just observers. We host parent evenings twice a year and daily drop-off and pick-up moments are warm and personal. Need extra consultation? An appointment is always welcome. New families can enjoy a free three-hour trial visit so that both child and parent can experience our atmosphere and approach. Together we make sure every child starts primary school with confidence.
