Peuteropvang Stepping Stones

Peuteropvang Stepping Stones is located within primary school Stepping Stones at Notebomenlaan 137 in Utrecht-East. We provide early childhood education for children aged 2.5 to 4 years in a safe and stimulating environment. Our space is specially designed for this age group and shares an outdoor area with the after-school care, where children can cycle, run and play to their heart's content. Structure and continuity are central to our daily routine. We use the Uk & Puk Method, a recognized program that stimulates language development through play-based learning. For children with an early childhood education indication, we pay extra attention to developing Dutch language skills: speaking, listening and learning new words. We do this because young children can acquire language quickly and easily, preparing them well for primary school. Our pedagogical approach is based on the Pedagogical Heart of Kind & Co Ludens. This means we give children space to be themselves, discover and grow. We provide a rich environment where play and learning come together. Collaboration and caring for each other form an important part of our daily practice. Peuteropvang Stepping Stones is open during school weeks and closed during school holidays. We work closely with the primary school, ensuring a smooth transition to the kindergarten classes.
