Peutergroep Speelkwartier

Peutergroep Speelkwartier is part of Quadrant Kindercentra and offers small-scale, professional childcare for toddlers aged 2 to 4. Located at Weerestein 37 in Gouda, we provide a warm, colourful environment designed specifically for young children. With a maximum of 16 children per day, we ensure personal attention and a familiar, safe atmosphere. Our pedagogical staff create daily creative and original activities tailored to the world of toddlers. We use themed play corners such as a construction area, car corner, kitchen, and doll corner, allowing children to choose what they want to explore. We also offer structured moments like singing, reading, crafting, and outdoor play. We believe in learning through play and in making children feel secure and valued. Our daily rhythm is clear and consistent. The day starts with a welcome song and a brief discussion of the day’s plans. Free play in the corners follows. At 10:00, we enjoy fruit together and talk about what we’re tasting. Then we go outside or use the gym if the weather doesn’t allow it. After a small snack and drink, we engage in an activity like clay work, cutting, gluing, or a game. Children staying for the extended morning have a sandwich around 12:15. The day ends calmly with a story or a bit more play before pick-up. We also offer Early Childhood Education (VVE), supporting toddlers in language development and vocabulary in a playful, age-appropriate way. Parents can enrol their child for a morning session (8:00 – 12:00) or an extended morning (8:00 – 13:30), depending on what suits the child and family best.
