Welcome to Peutercentrum Merenwijk, located at Valkenpad 1 in the friendly Merenwijk district of Leiden. We are proud to be part of SPL Opvang and, within the Brede School Merenwijk, provide a safe and stimulating environment for toddlers from 2 years of age. Our two morning groups – P1 Monday through Thursday and P2 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday – are organised horizontally so that every child can play and grow in an age-specific setting. Our spacious, adventurous garden is the beating heart of the outdoor experience. Here children can explore, climb, hide and play together in exciting corners that spark their imagination. The direct connection to the kindergarten classes of the primary school makes the later transition to regular education smooth and familiar. We therefore work closely with the school’s teachers to optimally support each child’s development. Language development is central to our approach. Our pedagogical staff – Angelique, Marente, Melissa, Kelly and team leader Yolanda – follow a carefully designed Early and Pre-school Education (VVE) programme. Through play, children expand their vocabulary, practise sounds and learn to listen and tell stories. Every activity is tailored to the individual needs of the child, allowing each toddler to grow at their own pace. Feel free to drop by for a personal, no-obligation tour.
