Peutercentrum Gouden Poort

Peutercentrum De Gouden Poort is located at Eksterpad 2 in Leiden and is part of Stichting Peuterspeelzalen Leiden e.o. (SPL). We are an anthroposophical playgroup where play forms the basis for natural development. Self-directed activity and discovery are central to our approach. By using natural play materials, we engage children’s senses in a special way. We regularly bake our own bread together. The children help knead the dough and experience the whole process from raw ingredients to freshly baked bread. The smell of fresh bread stimulates their senses and turns play into a real-life experience. We also have our own vegetable garden where toddlers learn about growth, seasons, and nature. Every day we go outside, because outdoor play makes toddlers happy. In our garden they can play and explore freely. Our pedagogical staff create a natural daily rhythm with care and attention. There is a good balance between free play and quiet moments. We work in horizontal groups for children aged 2 to 4. Play sessions run from 08:45 to 12:45, Monday to Friday. De Gouden Poort does not provide pre-school education (VVE). We are registered under LRK number 752848082 and meet all national quality standards. You are welcome in our warm, safe environment where your child can develop naturally.
